Hello, marvels….so, here we are at day three…and, another Facebook quote…
(And, on a different day, I would`ve delved a couple layers deep into this one, but I only have energy enough to scratch the surface…)
But, first, I want to say another thank you to the lovelies who nominated me…please do yourself a favour and check out their blogs
Nominator #1:thefictionallyrealone
(https://maanasaafangirl.wordpress.com/)
Although we just “met”, having read (I hope I assume correctly) her quotes, I can tell she is optimistic, has a great sense of humour, and a wonderful zest for life
and
Nominator #2: Speaking Up For Myself
https://sailajap14.wordpress.com/
Here`s today`s quote…
“Just be yourself. Let people see the real, imperfect, flawed, quirky, weird, beautiful, magical person that you are.“ (Mandy Hale).
At first blush, this might seem like a light and fluffy suggestion…
However, I contend that it`s a daunting challenge that many wouldn`t dare aspire to!
And, who could blame them (*rhetorical question*).
From an early age we are socialized to”put your best foot forward…”
We`re warned that we`ve “only got one chance to make a good first impression”
We`re taught to go with the (status quo) flow…
Consequently, most would go to great lengths to avoid taking chances..and, would only (carefully) `colour outside the lines` once someone else had taken the risk that proved successful.
And, on a shaky day, I`d have to include myself here…
Good news is, today is not a shaky day…
not so good news…today is heavy on the flawed bit…
Having had a good day, that followed an all-but-sleepless night, my stubborn brain doesn`t feel like co-operating….
And, given the benefit of experience, its not falling for the promise that all I need is a few minutes of its time (just getting this far took three times longer than it should have!)
And, if I opted for a nap– with the intention of writing upon waking–upon waking, I`d quickly convince myself that more sleep is preferable to the herculean effort it would take to clear my head.
So, here I am in all my imperfection…and, not the endearing, quirky kind…
Nope, just the run-of-the-mill, nothing-interesting-to-see- here kind…
But, I take solace in the fact that I showed up–grateful to be honoured with this challenge. And, eager to introduce you to nine more fantastic bloggers.
So, God bless you, and goodnight, Wonderfuls…when the time comes, I wish you a peaceful, and dreamy sleep.
And the nominees are:

P.S. There are nine nominations because, having been nominated by two people on the same day (and, invited to count them as one), I decided to nominate twice as many people (six instead of three), but forgot to do so on Day One…
very interesting quote… I often wonder as I read other’s blogs… is this really them… I find even in my own writing it challenging to be authentic… (I find the more times I go back and edit what I have written the less authentic it becomes… ) I try to be ME always but I can’t help but hide some of my “less than perfect” qualities… I think we all can working on being more genuine.

For the sake of others, I feel there are days when I need to have a fake it until you make it kind of attitude because I accidentally put on my grumpy pants. Being real all the time is definitely a challenge…

I’d have to say that I am of the same mindset….there are days when I am so glad that people can’t read my mind….fake it until you make it is a saving grace….especially when it comes to being in a sour mood 🙂 Thanks for sharing/commenting…I am on my way over to your place (so to speak) 🙂

I have been derelict in my duty! Sorry Truly my dear friend but due to travel, my very fluffy head and very sporadic internet I have only just realised I’ve been nominated for this. I’d better crack on and get to work on it. Thanks for sending people my way & Sorry for the delay! X

No problem….and, no pressure…some people love nominations and others don’t….so, if it’s something you’d like to do, great….and, if not, just know that I was thinking of you )
