Hi, Lovelies (a gender-neutral term of endearment 🙂 )!
I’m on vacation for two weeks…well, to be accurate, it’s a stay-cation. Although I’m not going away, I can’t tell you how much I’m looking forward to spending glorious days basking in the joys of relaxing, drinking in the wonders of unfolding days, reading, writing, and–last but not least–connecting with those I am blessed to have in my life (that includes you).
As such, I imagine I’ll be posting a few new posts, but in the meantime (and I hope this isn’t a blogging no-no), I am sharing a post from the very early days. The overwhelming majority of you won’t have seen it yet…
You can find it by clicking below.

Lastly, because I am “following” so many Amazers (and oodles more simply show up), scrolling through the Reader is very time consuming–and I might miss some posts that I would love to read otherwise. So, not only would I appreciate if you’d read mine; but it will make it much easier for me to come and visit you (if you’ve like-d mine, all I have to do is click on your icon….).
See you soon, Fantastics.
God bless you and your loves.
Affectionately,
Truly
ah I can feel your joy of time off 🙂

[grins] you are most welcome anytime you wish with no pressure if life is too busy .. I get that 🙂

You are memorable and I am sure to look for you whenever I make a point of getting back into the swing of things….I don’t feel any pressure–it is a privilege to connect with you and to what you share. It’s just that, at the end of a workday, I am not likely to get to reading….and, on weekends, time can get away from me. However, I am thinking that two weeks off will be a great re-set that should leave me with more energy beyond the urge to drift off to sleep while watching stand-up comedians on Netflix (Jim Gaffigan is a particular favorite 🙂

comedy is a great release when you have such intense work … I really don’t read much on my volunteer days either, too busy and too tired but blogging should never be a pressure, just do it when it’s a pleasure 🙂

Your joy and plans for all that delicious time off simply radiates off the page! We are so in sync, I am struggling each day to capture all the wonderful posts on my reader, it`s a great day when I can connect with almost everyone, I love your idea, it`s a great way to keep connected! Heading now to that earlier post, enjoy the day and the many to follow!

I find that weekends are prime time for reading–it is rare that I do so after work because I am often (brain) tired and need to watch something on Netflix, rather than engaging in more reading (having written work notes)–and supporting clients (rewarding, but can be emotionally taxing) makes my mind want to be spoon-fed visuals and narrative…and, something easy to follow/digest…shallow and entertaining 🙂

I love bringing home the latest DVD from the library and disappearing into another world…or finding a new author for the same reason, what a heavenly feeling!

Yes…disappearing into another world is a luxury that I cherish and appreciate soooooo much 🙂

Your staycation sounds like just the tonic – have a lovely time, Truly.

Enjoy your “Stay-cation,” Truly! It sounds simply blissful and well-deserved. I sense your excitement and wish we lived near each other. I could totally see us hanging out and singing songs from the Seventies! Much love to you.

I hope you are able to get some much -needed rest and relaxation…weekends just don’t do the trick sometimes…there’s nothing like extended breaks to recharge our batteries (and spirits) 🙂

I can’t believe it is also one I had not seen and I thought we had linked up very early in our blogging careers!
Vacation at home can be very fulfilling too; especially if one is trying to clear the mind
and adjust to a new way of life. I do hope it is going well and you are indeed feeling refreshed.
I will now go off to read this missing post in detail 🙂

It was my second post…I think you and I “met” by post number 4 (back in the early days, I posted one per week) so we probably connected in my first month of blogging… 🙂

Wow, after four posts we met and yet I recall thinking at the time you had been blogging for ages! I must go back and hunt the other lost posts down now too 🙂

Enjoy your days off. Stay-cations are more relaxing than going away. Normally when one travels they need another vacation to recover when they get back home.

So true….I have another week/weekend to go and I think that’s when the magic will really increase. This is the first time in nearly 3 years that I’ve had 2 weeks off in a row. What a lovely luxury. Thank you for your kind thoughts…wishing you a lovely weekend 🙂
