(May 13/17) Thank You For Promoting Me (and others), Kate…

Hi, Dazzlers, I’m working on my latest post, but stopping by long enough to give a heartfelt thank you to Kate, a hearty hello to you…and, a heads-up πŸ™‚

Kate, a wonder and a light, has two blogs…the second is a new one, where she generously uses her efforts and gifts to promote other bloggers…how awesome is that? Β I have a hard enough time making time to post my own offerings! Β But, Kate is made of much more disciplined stuff–and I am so glad that our connection (made quite a while ago) grows stronger and stronger…she is easily lovable. πŸ™‚

Anyway, here’s the link to Kate’s blog, and the second one will take Β you to the interview/introduction she was gracious enough to conduct with me (once there, click on HOME to see the other interviews with awesome bloggers)…

  1. Yeah! checking it out… Seems like CalmKate is providing some great resources and exposure for interesting and deserving up-and-coming bloggers! I think it’s great when we knit together in community as writers! Thanks for sharing.

  2. Born over here!! I never knew that until just now Truly. Lovely hearing a bit more about you and what a fabulous way of introducing bloggers to new people. I think Kate has really got an excellent idea here. Kudos to both her and you for supplying the answers; even if the brothers bit got omitted πŸ˜‰

  3. Great interview – and super way to promote it by promoting Kate and her blog. I got here after the brothers were edited in (yes, I am one who actually reads the comments under the post as well.

I prefer to “like” my way down as I read them, both to keep track through distractions and to let other bloggers know their comments are being read. I thought people appreciated comment likes and that they helped the author’s page stats, but I was recently informed that a blogger found them overwhelmingly annoying, so I’m working on reigning in the habit. πŸ™‚

The following comment was my favorite part of the entire interview – I SO relate!

“Given room to express myself, posts make for the most delicious spoonful of sugar that helps the medicine go down (self-exploration and growth is not for the faint of heart.”

    1. For what it’s worth, I think it is incredibly generous–and you of you–to take the time and effort to “like” and comment…not everyone can receive on certain levels. I remind myself of this quite a bit lately πŸ™‚ Thank you for your feedback–it’s appreciated and uplifting πŸ™‚

      1. What a sweet response! Thank you – I shall “like” with abandon evermore (on your site, anyway).

Piggybacking on a recent exchange on my blog, isn’t it bizarre how we tend to take the comment of one as representative of the feelings of the many? We who have worked on ourselves realize intellectually that an opinion is merely that, but it still seems to affect us, doesn’t it? (noodle that thought as you write the post about internalizing “blame” when life goes sideways – which I am eager to read!)

      2. I definitely will….earlier, having read a comment, I had the very same thought about how the opinion of one is automatically generalized…I’ll save elaboration for my post….by the way, did I tell you how inspiring you are πŸ™‚ Thank you πŸ™‚
