Hi, everyone…It’s just come to my attention that–based on a post from a few weeks back (featuring a photo of a hand holding a vapour cigarette, and an announcement about the writer giving up cigarettes)–some of you think I’m a male…I’m not. I was simply sharing another blogger’s post. However, now I know why one of my newest followers referred to me as “buddy”…hahaha
Take care and God bless you.
Truly (not to add to the confusion…that is my first name, not me simply signing off 🙂 )
P.S. Nor, am I still under the weather…my latest (regular) post, (Nov. 11/16: “Desperately Seeking Snoozin’ “) was one I started writing 3 weeks ago when I had a flu that lasted a few days…after I jotted a few lines down, my head was too fuzzy to continue…and, it wasn’t until a couple days ago, I decided to finish the post I had started. 🙂
oh…. your not male?… that changes everything… or maybe not… in any case I still love your blog.
To be serious I was hoping that this was explaining your last post. I am still trying to figure out exactly what you are telling us (wow that sounded rude or makes me sound really dumb)… what I mean is I am wondering if you are still ill or if your are starting to feel better… I hate to think you have been sick for three weeks… that would be horrible…

Hahahahahahaha….I will add to my ‘clearing up the confusion’ post…no, I am not still sick with the flu….I started the post 3 weeks ago when I was sick, jotted down a few thoughts, then left if when I realized I couldn’t clear my head enough to get my thoughts down in their entirety. Then, when I started writing my latest post, I reflected back on how I felt when I wasn’t feeling well 🙂

I was getting called “brother” for quite some time. So, I finally decided to my face up and clear up that up.

Sooooo funny….I guess, under the circumstances, such misunderstandings can happen 🙂

Sometimes it’s funny when other bloggers think we are male when we are actually female, but it’s great that you are clearing it up😊😊

Somehow, it never occurred to me that I write in a way that would conjure up images of a male…but, that just goes to show how wrong we can be about how others “read” us. 🙂 Although, I hear JK Rowlng was advised to use her initials, so that the assumption would be that she was a male…perhaps that is just a rumour. 🙂

Maybe. I agree we write in a way that the reader unfortunately cannot relate too. They should pay more attention to the posts we post.

I am so resisting comments that are desparate to come out….turn of phrase slip that was…not intentional, but it’s ok if you are….err…buddy…..
I think my brain is addled and making no NaNonsense at the moment.
Quite hilarious really. How’s the fku bug going?

The worst of it was over in 4 days or so…I have since recovered and wrote the post based on memory of what I was feeling at the time 🙂

That’s good to hear! It’s always concerning when you go quiet. One worries you know!

You are so kind…no need to worry…I am a fighter…and, I work very hard at growing, and that can take me out of (social) commission sometimes…it is the introvert in me…and, is a consequence of what I do, full-time for a living…social work/counseling youth can be very demanding…rewarding, to be sure, but mentally taxing as well. Carving out time for my own thoughts is very important…but, I love, love, love my connections in the blogging community and want everyone to know how much I appreciate our connection…you, my friend, are a blessing…thank you for caring 🙂

I know that feeling well. Since starting NaNo I’ve hardly touched social media. I check a few once a day, but answering messages I’ve lapsed on. The blog is the only place I’m keeping up with…err…apart from posting anything !!!

I think the ambiguity is a good thing. When I first started, people called me Sir. I realised that my tone was neutral and readers couldn’t tell I was a woman – never mind my feminine looking hand with tons of rings on my fingers in my gravatar image. Having said that, I have been called “xo” just last month, by someone who comments regularly on my blog. Shocking. xo

I really appreciate your perspective…I hadn’t thought of it that way 🙂 On another note, I wonder if “xo” has another meaning that I am unaware of….as I understand it, it means hugs and kisses…thank you for commenting…I’m going to pop over to your blog right now while I have some time 🙂

xo = hugs and kisses. Some things get lost in translation. It was great catching up with you. Have a lovely weekend. 💕❤️

I find that it only matters if someone is male or female when my motives for corresponding have gone awry.

I love this but then again they do so concealing your gender is the best way to gain attention as it worked for J. K. Rowling but honesty is also the best policy so I guess its up to us to chose what we do.
