(July 3/16) I’m A Technophobe Who Desperately Wants To Say Thank You

Hi, there.  I am completely sincere when I say that this is not a manipulation to entice you to read my latest post…it’s just that I don’t know how to copy other bloggers’ addresses.

(Which is also why I haven’t followed through on a number of nominations that require that I copy and paste logos, and tag others–I think I am using “tag” in the proper context…I am not even sure of that).

Anyway, I am acting on a sudden impulse, and fervently hoping you will go to my post–(July 2/16) A Murder of (Counting) Crows…Beware the Dream Killers–scroll through the “likes” and, also, click on the authors of the comments you find there (their comments will tell you so much about their hearts and minds).

Not to make it about me, but I am blessed to have the most amazing supporters…and, they have also become friends…and, as one who is very private as relates to social media–and has felt like a fish out of water in that context–I am so utterly grateful to each of them for giving me the confidence to “keep putting myself out there”; and for making me feel like I belong.

In them, you will find sensitive, generous, bright, gifted, authentic souls…and, I’m sure I’m not alone in my confession that, despite my optimistic temperament and sunny disposition, I am not always my biggest fan, and sometimes have to fight really hard to hold on to my ‘glass is half-full’ perspective…there are times when someone else’s kindness makes all the difference.  And, just as I strive to be that someone for those I am privileged to connect with, I appreciate it more than I can say when the others do that for me.

I urge you to visit their blogs…they are awesome…and, perhaps pop back every once in a while and check for additional “likes” and comments (it’s early days and I am sure that some of my other loyal friends will stop by my post).

Though relatively few in number (compared to other people’s), mine are worth  more than gold; and I know they would be thrilled to “meet” you.

Take care and God Bless You 🙂

Sincerely,

Truly

P.S. For any of my friends who might not see my July 2/16 post, don’t worry…once I figure out how to include your blog addresses, I will include them in other posts 🙂

  1. awwww, truly, what a sweet and thoughtful post. I am the last person to try to teach someone ho to find, copy and use other’s addresses. I can barely tag and these links mess me up at least once a post. Here’s hoping someone can easily explain it all to you so you can do the challenges you wish, the awards you are nominated for and the sharing of posts that is such a huge part of what we do here.

    1. Funny enough, no one I know blogs…but, I am going to ask around at work and I’m sure someone will know of someone who is able to help….I need hands-on help…someone giving me written instruction will do nothing but make my brain explode! 🙂

    2. Also, you are always so kind and affirming…and for those who are not on the July 2/16 post, I will be sure to remember to give you a shout-out….I will do so on that nomination you privileged me with 🙂

      1. Oops…what I meant was–once I know how to copy logos etc, I will give you a shout out by way of the nomination you honoured me with (and, at other random times) 🙂

    1. Thank you ❤ As for the simplicity of this posting–wordplay is the first language of my creativity….vulnerability is the first language of my heart…and, as much as I like to keep my struggles to myself, I realized that I would have to reveal more of myself in order to thank my friends for being so wonderful to me… 🙂

  4. Oooh, sly as the proverbial fox indeed….this skipped right past and you mentioned it not in Facebook messages, for shame indeed, as it makes me feel compromised in kindness by not commenting…but since it’s you, well, totally let you off 😇

I could of course pop over more too….ergo most blame rests with me…but, I persuse comments as you say and find mutual bloggers are rising in number and one can only thank them and you for dropping by and befriending my blog and, in special cases, also my personal profile on the book of faces…..

Fabulous idea Truky….the invite to persuse and follow up likes….my own belief upon my posts is always to chase down anyone who likes a comment I make anywhere….dare to do that and I’m coming to hunt you down and reciprocate type of thing….👻

    1. I know how busy/active you are in the blogging community….I will give you a head’s up on FB private message in future if you’d like…also, I, too, hunt down anyone who “likes” my comments on other people’s posts as well…I take the slightest acknowledgement as an invitation to make a new connection 🙂

      1. I try to be, but of late I have been a tad self involved in my manuscript…I’m also creating lists here to attach bloggers URLs to in order to keep track. Emails are so vast most get filtered out now so lists seem to be the best way forwards. Heads up would be excellent though too 😊

      2. You’ve worked so hard for so long in order to be so busy…and, the time has come for you to make yourself/aims a priority (for instance, your manuscript)…I’m so impressed and proud of you 🙂 ) And, yes, you and I definitely have a wonderful bond…and, head up will follow as they crop up 🙂

      3. There are times I’ve worked hard to go round in circles for sure! Did you know before I did this one I wrote another manuscript waiting for me to tidy up and edit? The pieces I’m serialising on my blog are also potentials for a book too and that’s three quarters written…the comfort zone is writing….the out of comfort zone is the next bit 😱 Thankfully you seem keen to see that I do the next bit 😊

      4. Oh, no doubt about it, you must…you will regret is soooo much if you don’t, for one day, you will see what is so easy for me to see….you are destined to reach scores and scores of people in need of stories and adventure…the out of comfort zone is the kicker…it is the hurdle (comprised of many facets) that is meant to be cleared….it seems to me that the gift is the incentive to answer the knocking at the door we would never answer otherwise….Hey, there’s a hypothesis for my next mini post 🙂 You’ve done it again…you cause me to think about things… thanks!

      5. I know. This is quite an important life moment. No matter how it turns out readership wise it’s a case of finishing something. That’s the real deal really 😊

And…if nothing else at all then you gave a new post topic 😁

      6. Also, and thankfully….fortune smiles on us, and the right people come along at just the right time, in order to give us what we might not have…I am soooooo privileged to encourage you in any small, or significant, way. You do the same for me….your unwavering support is a Godsend, as is your friendship….I know enough about these things not to take them for granted 🙂

  5. This is a lovely and personal post, which resonates on so many levels. I’d love to give you a teach in on links and stuff, but am so far away and still learning myself. If only we could send it via positive vibes, I would gladly do so. Keep at it my friend.
